The j5 OSIsoft® PI Interface 2017 provides broader integration between j5 and the OSIsoft PI System®, including PI Tags, the PI Asset Framework (AF) and PI Event Frames. These PI integration points coupled with j5 Applications and IndustraForm® provide a rich combination that combines human processes with real-time data.

PI Event Frames
PI Event Frames and their attributes can be synchronized to j5 from a PI Asset Framework server and database. Attributes can also be updated in j5 and written back to the PI Asset Framework. PI Event Frames can also be locked and acknowledged from j5:

PI Template to IndustraForm® Conversion
Using the j5 Integrated Development Environment (IDE), PI Event Frames and PI Asset Framework element templates can be converted into a IndustraForm® automatically. IndustraForm® functionality such as Flags, Notes, Approvals, Conditional Visibility, Email Alerts and so on can therefore be integrated with PI Tags to provide a powerful combination of human process with real-time data providing better situational awareness across an industrial site:

j5 Operations Logbook Integration
PI Event Frames can be configured to automatically write a new j5 Operations Logbook entry when new PI Event Frames are retrieved in j5. PI Event Frames can also be configured to close the j5 Operations Logbook entry when the associated PI Event Frame closes:

PI Asset Framework Attributes
PI Asset Framework attributes can be used in an IndustraForm® as data fields, charts and spark lines. They can also be used in other j5 Applications where external data sources are supported, such as in the j5 Event Manager (Tag Watch List):
